RMM tools don’t make RMM pricing easy to compare. Some charge per device, some per technician, and the difference adds up fast depending on how a team is structured.
We reviewed 11 pricing models and built a calculator for running the numbers against a specific setup.

Pricing structure analysis of 10 RMM solutions
1. NinjaOne RMM
NinjaOne‘s pricing model is per-device, with reported ranges of $1.50–$6.00 per endpoint per month depending on scale. Actual pricing varies based on volume discounts, promotional offers, and contract terms. The platform includes no hidden implementation or training fees, with unlimited support included.1
NinjaOne requires a minimum commitment of 50 endpoints for core RMM. Common add-ons are priced separately from the base rate: backup at $3/device/month plus $40/TB storage, and SentinelOne EDR at $3.60/device/month. These additions significantly affect total cost of ownership and are not reflected in published per-device rates.2

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud bundles RMM with backup, EDR/XDR, patch management, and disaster recovery under a single agent and console. MSPs pay for one platform instead of separate tools for each function.
Pricing model: Acronis bills per workload type. Each customer tenant uses one pricing model, and an MSP can run different models across different tenants. RMM is available as an add-on to the base Cyber Protect Cloud platform rather than a standalone purchase. We need a quote from Acronis to provide exact per-endpoint pricing, as it depends on the package combination and workload type.
Package tiers (MSP, includes RMM):
- Endpoint security + RMM: covers laptops, desktops, and workstations with anti-malware, anti-ransomware, EDR/XDR, and RMM
- Servers/VMs + RMM: same security stack applied to server and virtual machine workloads
- M365 Security + RMM: email security, security posture management, and RMM for Microsoft 365 environments
- Ultimate: adds DLP and advanced backup features across all workloads
Add-ons (backup, disaster recovery, and email security) are billed separately and can be stacked on any package. Each customer tenant must use one pricing model, but MSPs can mix models across different client tenants.
What’s included in the RMM component:
- Remote monitoring and alerting across endpoints
- Patch management is mapped directly to vulnerability assessments for prioritization
- Automated patch deployment with scheduling and auto-approval
- Scripting and automation for routine IT tasks
- Multi-tenant console for managing all client environments from one interface

RMM software price breakdown
Types of pricing structures
Per-device pricing: Cost based on the number of devices being managed and monitored.
Per-agent/technician pricing: Cost based on the number of users or technicians accessing the platform.
Tiered pricing: Pricing levels vary based on the features and services included.
Pricing factors
Number of devices/endpoints: The number of endpoints managed directly impacts RMM software pricing.
- Features: Upper-tier packages include more complex, functionally valuable features than other packages. By adding valuable features, vendors advance to the next tier.
Subscription type: Prices are usually lower when subscribed for more extended periods.
Extra expenses: There might be additional costs, such as maintenance fees, required onboarding, and training fees.
Hidden costs in remote monitoring and management pricing
Beyond the advertised per-device or per-technician rates, RMM solutions often involve additional costs that can significantly affect total cost. The items below are the ones buyers report missing at quote stage.
Implementation and Training:
Many vendors advertise “no setup fees,” but reality varies. While platforms like NinjaOne and Atera offer free onboarding, enterprise RMM solutions such as ConnectWise Automate can incur $2,000- $20,000 in implementation costs, depending on complexity.9 Factor in 1-3 months of reduced productivity during migration.
Add-On Features and Integrations:
ore RMM pricing rarely covers a full stack. Common paid add-ons include:
- AI capabilities: Atera’s AI Copilot is a paid add-on across all tiers4
- Network monitoring: Often sold as separate modules (e.g., SuperOps charges extra for network monitoring)
- Advanced security: EDR, XDR, and backup solutions typically require separate licensing
- Third-party integrations: Antivirus (Bitdefender, Webroot), backup (Acronis), and remote access tools may carry per-endpoint fees
Support Tier Costs:
Base plans typically include only email support. Premium support (phone, 24/7 access, dedicated account managers) can add 15-30% to monthly costs. Base plans typically cover email support, so response times during an outage depend on the tier purchased.
Contract Terms and Lock-In:
Some vendors (notably Kaseya) require 3+-year contracts with early-termination penalties.10 Switching costs matter when a platform underperforms. Migrating endpoints, retraining staff, and reconfiguring automation can take months.

Ticketing in RMM software records IT issues and service requests, routes them to a technician, and tracks them to closure. Platforms that bundle PSA include it; RMM-only products often sell it separately or leave it to an integration.
