DataImpulse offers residential, mobile, premium residential, and datacenter proxies to help with web scraping, automation, and data collection.

One of the main benefits is traffic-based pricing. DataImpulse also supports rotating and sticky sessions, several protocols, and flexible location targeting, from choosing a country to using advanced filters.

DataImpulse’s proxy solutions

DataImpulse splits its proxy network into four main product types.

  • Residential proxy supports rotating sessions, sticky sessions, HTTP(S), SOCKS5, free country targeting, and non-expiring traffic. The pricing starts at $5 for 5GB, which works out to $1/GB for the intro tier.
  • Datacenter proxy is the lower-cost option for users who prioritize price and speed. The pricing starts at $5 for 10GB (or $0.5/GB), with higher tiers at $50 for 100GB, $450 for 1TB, and custom pricing starting at $2,250 for 5TB+.
  • Mobile proxy is the higher-priced tier aimed at use cases that benefit from mobile-network IPs. Starting plan at $5 for 2.5GB ($2/GB), followed by $50 for 25GB, $1,600 for 1TB, and custom pricing starting at $8,000 for 5TB+.
  • Premium residential proxy is positioned as the top-end offering for buyers seeking higher-quality residential traffic. Plans starting at $5 for 1GB, $50 for 10GB, and custom pricing from $20,000 for 5TB+.

Pros and cons of DataImpulse proxies

Pros

  • Low-cost proxy entry plans
  • Country targeting included in base pricing

Cons

Connection types: Rotating and sticky sessions

DataImpulse offers two connection types: Rotating and sticky.

With rotating proxies, the IP address changes automatically with each new request. These ports:

  • HTTP/HTTPS rotating: port 823
  • SOCKS5 rotating: port 824

That makes the rotating setup straightforward for users who want fresh IPs on every request without manually managing session persistence.

With sticky proxies, the IP address remains bound to a specific port for a defined period. Sticky sessions can last from 1 to 120 minutes, with an average duration of 30 minutes. Sticky connections use ports in the range 10000 to 20000. If no rotation interval is specified for a sticky connection, or if it is set to “0”, the default interval is 30 minutes.

This distinction is important because rotating sessions are generally better for high-volume crawling and distributing repeated requests, while sticky sessions are more useful when a site performs better with temporary session continuity.

Targeting options

The proxy provider separates targeting into default targeting and target filters. Default targeting includes: country selection/exclusion and ASN exclusion. This level of targeting is already included in the base proxy price and is not billed additionally.

This means country-level targeting and ASN exclusion are built into the base price rather than treated as a premium add-on.

Target filters

Traffic routed through target filters is billed at double the standard rate. Country targeting is included, but state, city, ZIP, and advanced ASN selection are billed at 2x the standard traffic rate. Target Filters are the advanced targeting layer and include:

  • State
  • City
  • ZIP code
  • ASN

FAQs about DataImpulse proxies

For rotating connections, DataImpulse uses:
Port 823 for HTTP/HTTPS
Port 824 for SOCKS5

According to the provided material, sticky sessions can last from 1 to 120 minutes, with a default (average) duration of 30 minutes when no custom interval is specified.

For most general users, the residential proxy intro plan looks like the most balanced starting point. It costs $5 for 5GB, which is more affordable than mobile or premium residential while still offering residential IPs.

It appears to serve both, but in different ways. Datacenter and standard residential plans are more attractive for budget-conscious users, while mobile and premium residential plans are better suited to more specialized or higher-stakes use cases.
