We examined Decodo in our benchmark suite across proxy servers and scraping categories. Our data suggest that Decodo is strongest in residential proxies, where it stands out for pricing efficiency, and it remains highly competitive in mobile proxies.

It also performs well in broader web scraping API use cases, particularly e-commerce scraping, although it is less dominant in some social scraping benchmarks such as Facebook and Instagram.

Decodo’s strengths by product category

The table below summarizes Decodo’s performance across its main product categories, combining pricing observations with findings from our benchmark suite.

How Decodo performed in our benchmarks

Overall, the results suggest that Decodo is strongest in residential proxy value, where it performed particularly well in our pricing comparisons, and remains highly competitive in mobile proxies. Its datacenter proxy results look more mixed, with solid but not always category-leading performance across metrics.

On the scraping side, Decodo appears stronger in broader web-scraping API use cases than in certain social-scraping benchmarks. In our tests, its e-commerce scraping API performed especially well, with very high success rates and competitive response times.

By contrast, in benchmarks focused on Facebook and Instagram scraping, some competitors delivered either richer metadata coverage or faster responses. In web unblocking, Decodo remained competitive, though the top providers still held an edge in some scenarios.

Decodo residential proxy review

Decodo’s residential proxy product provides precise ASN filtering, ZIP code targeting where available, and supports both rotating and sticky sessions. Users can generate multiple unique endpoints from a single setup screen.

Location targeting is available at the continent, country, state, and city levels, offering more flexibility than country-level filters alone. Session control offers rotating sessions and preset sticky options of 1, 10, 30, or 60 minutes, plus a custom duration.

In our residential proxy benchmark, Decodo also performs well on success rate, staying near the top tier across much of the observed period. Response time looks competitive rather than clearly market-leading, but the overall picture is still strong.

The combination of granular targeting, flexible session management, and benchmark-leading value makes residential proxies one of Decodo’s most convincing product areas.

Residential takeaway:

  • Decodo’s residential proxy product stands out for both feature depth and benchmark performance, especially in pricing efficiency, targeting flexibility, and consistent success rate.

Decodo mobile proxy review

Decodo’s mobile proxy product also looks well thought out, even if it is slightly less dominant than residential. Users can configure location, ASN, session type, protocol format, and endpoint count through a single streamlined interface.

Our benchmark data suggests that the product is highly competitive. In our mobile pricing benchmark, Decodo performs well across the low- and mid-volume tiers and remains in the upper group as scale increases.

Decodo maintains a high success rate over time, suggesting strong operational reliability. Average response time is also competitive, though not always the fastest in the field.

Mobile proxy workflows often depend heavily on session behavior, and this is one area where Decodo looks strong. The same rotating and sticky session controls make the mobile product more usable for tasks that need persistence, such as multi-step browsing flows or mobile-specific user simulations.

That makes the mobile product one of Decodo’s stronger offerings, even if it is not the clearest category leader on every single metric.

Mobile takeaway:

  • Decodo’s mobile proxies combine strong success rates, competitive pricing, and flexible session settings, making them one of the stronger options in the category, even if they are not the outright leader at every tier.

Decodo datacenter proxy review

Users can manage credentials, choose output layout, and generate ready-to-use endpoints without needing a complicated setup process. That makes Decodo datacenter product accessible and easy to work with.

In our datacenter pricing benchmark, Decodo appears relatively stable across scales, suggesting a more predictable cost profile than some competitors. That is useful for buyers who care about cost consistency as traffic grows.

But in our datacenter proxy benchmark, Decodo looks competitive rather than dominant. Its success rates are respectable, and its response times are decent, but some rivals outperform it on specific dates or metrics.

Datacenter takeaway:

  • Decodo’s datacenter proxies offer a clean setup experience, useful controls, and stable pricing, but benchmark data suggest they are competitive rather than category-leading.

Decodo scraper review

In our benchmarks, Decodo performs especially well in e-commerce scraping, where it combines near-perfect success rates with strong response times. It is a better fit for teams looking for a practical scraping API than for users whose entire workflow depends on a single domain-specific extractor.

The results for social scraping are more mixed. In our Facebook scraping tests, Decodo did not perform as well as some competitors in terms of success rate and metadata collected. Some providers cover more fields or rank higher overall. Decodo can still be used for Facebook scraping, but this is not where it stands out most.

The Instagram scraping results are also mixed. Decodo appears capable, with strong success rates, but its response times lag behind those of the strongest performer in the benchmark.

For users whose main concern is simply whether the scraper works consistently, Decodo still looks viable. For users optimizing for the fastest possible social scraping response times, it may not be the top choice.

Decodo site unblocker review

A web unblocker, or site unblocker, matters when raw proxy access is not enough, when the target site has JavaScript-heavy pages, anti-bot protections, or challenge flows that need to be handled at a higher level than simple IP rotation.

In our web unblocker benchmarks, Decodo performs well enough to remain clearly competitive. Its success rates remain within a strong band, suggesting the product performs well in real-world scenarios and is not merely a nominal extension of the proxy business.

In our requests-per-dollar analysis, Decodo lags behind the top value providers but remains competitive with several alternatives. Its web unblocker is effective and reliable, though not industry-leading. It enhances the platform and delivers solid performance in testing.

Decodo pricing

In this benchmark, the comparison is based on GB per $, so a higher score indicates better value and a lower effective cost. Based on the proxy pricing chart below:

  • Residential: Decodo is the clear value leader.
  • Mobile: Decodo is a top-tier option, but not the cheapest at the highest volumes.
  • Datacenter: Decodo is stable and competitive, but not the overall cheapest.

Decodo residential pricing:

Based on our benchmark comparison, Decodo delivers the strongest residential value across all tested usage tiers. Since a higher GB/$ figure means more bandwidth for the same spend, Decodo ranks as the most cost-efficient residential proxy provider in this chart, outperforming Oxylabs, NetNut, Bright Data, and Apify from 10 GB to 10 TB.

Mobile proxy pricing:

For mobile, Decodo performs well, but it is not the outright cheapest across the full range. At lower to mid tiers, the black Decodo line sits at or near the top. Around 10–500 GB, Decodo generally leads or is tied among the strongest-value options. From about 500 GB to 2 TB, Decodo remains very competitive.

Decodo is one of the best-value mobile proxy providers in the benchmark, especially for low- to mid-volume, but it is not the cheapest at the highest tiers.

Datacenter proxy pricing:

For the datacenter, Decodo is strong and consistent, but again, not always the cheapest at every level. The Decodo line is almost flat from around 100 GB onward, suggesting predictable value at scale. Its value remains almost unchanged across a wide range of bandwidth tiers, which makes it predictable for scaling workloads.

Decodo offers stable and competitive datacenter pricing, but it is not the benchmark leader across all usage tiers.

Decodo tools and browser utilities

Beyond its core proxy products, Decodo also offers a small set of utility tools for browser-based use, profile management, and proxy testing.

X Browser

Decodo describes X Browser as a multi-profile anti-detect browser designed to help users manage separate browser fingerprints and profiles.

Its help docs show two usage modes: Quick Connect, which lets users choose a proxy type and proxy user and launch immediately, and New Profile, which is used to create profiles with specific fingerprint settings for later use.

Proxy extension

Decodo offers a Chrome proxy extension and a Firefox proxy add-on. On the product pages, Decodo positions them as lightweight ways to manage proxy profiles directly in the browser.

The Firefox documentation also says the extension works with all Decodo proxy types and can be used with non-Decodo proxies, without requiring a Decodo account login. In practice, these extensions are best understood as convenience tools for browser-level routing rather than full proxy management platforms.

Proxy checker

Decodo’s Proxy Checker is a desktop tool for testing proxy lists in bulk. Decodo says users can paste connection and authentication details into the app to verify proxies, check for timeouts, and identify errors. That makes it useful for teams that buy, rotate, or validate large proxy lists and want a lightweight verification step before deploying them.
