Germany proxies are useful for collecting localized web data, monitoring German e-commerce sites, and checking search results. Proxy providers can differ in reliability, response time, targeting options, session controls, and pricing.
We test residential proxy services across 12 domains using German residential IPs. We send requests at consistent 10-minute intervals. Our data suggests there is no single fastest and most reliable Germany proxy. Providers differ more clearly in latency, targeting flexibility, and session controls than in raw success rate alone.
Germany proxy benchmark results
The benchmark shows a clearer difference in response time than in success rate. The tested providers generally stay within a small range of success rates. See Germany proxy benchmark methodology for details.
Oxylabs keeps noticeably faster response times throughout the test period. Apify, NodeMaven, and Webshare group closely together above the two-second mark.

Top 6 Germany proxies
Bright Data lists around 503.000 German IPs and provides residential, mobile, ISP, and datacenter networks. Bright Data has one of the more extensive targeting feature sets in the comparison. German targeting is available at the city, state, and ZIP-code level, while its broader residential targeting system also supports ASN and carrier selection.

Ottieni lo scontoOxylabs is the outlier in our response-time test. While other tested networks mostly operate above two seconds, Oxylabs remains considerably faster across much of the benchmark and drops below two seconds on several measurements. For workloads where request latency compounds across many pages, Oxylabs’ benchmark performance stands out.
Oxylabs has one of the more extensive Germany-specific offerings in this comparison. Its residential/SOCKS5 offering supports targeting by state, city, ZIP code, and ASN, while German location listings include cities such as Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Munich, and Nuremberg.
Its rotating German residential network supports state, city, ZIP, and ASN targeting, giving it more geographic control than country-only services. Residential pricing starts at an accessible level and becomes cheaper per GB at higher volumes.

Ottieni lo scontoFor residential connections, Decodo supports state, city, ZIP, and ASN targeting with HTTP(S) and SOCKS5. City-level targeting is available in Germany, including Berlin. The provider also offers ISP, mobile, and datacenter proxies. Its residential pricing starts relatively low compared with several providers in this comparison.

Ottieni accesso gratuitoWebshare represents one of the more balanced profiles in the test. It doesn’t show the clear latency advantage of Oxylabs, but its response times generally stay competitive with NodeMaven and are below or around Apify.
Its success-rate results tend to stay within the same range as the wider group rather than separating dramatically in either direction. Webshare’s rotating residential network supports state, city, ZIP, and ASN targeting. Pricing is accessible at small volumes.

Ottieni lo scontoNodeMaven offers German residential and mobile proxies as well as static residential/ISP options. Its residential network can be targeted by country, city, ZIP code, and ISP, while sticky sessions can last for up to 24 hours.
Its Germany-specific network page lists IP availability in cities including Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Essen, and Dresden. It lists HTTP/SOCKS5 and IPv4 and IPv6 for these locations.
NodeMaven shows more variation than some competitors in the benchmark. It has topped the success-rate chart on individual measurements but also recorded noticeably weaker periods. Response times mostly fall within the same broad range as Webshare and Apify, though the network occasionally approaches two seconds.

Ottieni lo scontoApify ranks toward the stronger end of the benchmark for request success but is not among the fastest providers. Its response times generally exceed two seconds and, during most of the test period, are higher than Oxylabs and often higher than Webshare.
For German residential traffic, Apify lets users select the residential proxy group and specify Germany via its country-targeting parameter. IPs rotate automatically unless a session is used. Residential sessions usually keep the same IP for about 30 minutes.
The main Germany-specific limitation is targeting granularity. Apify mainly provides country-level residential targeting, while NodeMaven, Webshare, Oxylabs, Decodo, and Bright Data offer options like city, ZIP, ASN, or ISP targeting.
Apify makes the most sense when the proxy is part of a broader Apify or Crawlee workflow. If a project requires precise German city-level targeting or prioritizes the lowest latency, other providers offer more specialized controls.
Germany proxies methodology
Each provider is configured to use residential IP addresses located in Germany. We send requests to the same set of 12 domains at consistent 10-minute intervals, giving every provider repeated exposure to the same mix of targets.
The test set includes e-commerce, search, automotive, technology/media, and social platforms:
aliexpress.com, amazon.de, autoscout24.de, chip.de, facebook, google. heise.de, Instagram, mediamarkt.de, otto.de, twitter.com, and X.
We track two primary metrics:
- Success rate: The time from sending a request to receiving the last byte. We count only successful requests. Timeouts do not affect the numbers.
- Average response time: Measured only when the response code is between 200 and 399. Empty pages, blocked pages, and CAPTCHA pages count as failures.
