Apify alternatives pricing comparison

We calculated each scraper’s effective cost, the price per successful request, from the success rates in our e-commerce scraping benchmark. For providers we did not benchmark, we used the plan prices listed in their documentation.

Effective cost of 1.000 successful product pages depends on monthly volume: Nimble is $1 flat, Bright Data $1,30–$1,50, Zyte $4,08–$8,55, and Apify $3,29–$13,70 (adjusted for its 70,1% success rate since it bills every attempt).

Free tiers & entry price

Prices are per 1.000 JavaScript-rendered requests on each vendor’s cheapest paid option, using standard proxies on an ordinary target site. Rates fall as volume rises, and premium or residential proxies push them back up.

Zyte’s price rises with target difficulty: HTTP requests run from $0,13 to $1,27 per 1.000, and browser-rendered requests from $1,01 to $16,08, so the $1,01 in the table is the easiest browser tier and hard sites cost several times more.

Free tiers fall into two groups. Some renew every month, others are a one-time grant you spend once.

Pay per success is not defined the same way everywhere. A blocked page is gratuito on every product marked Yes, but a page that loads and returns junk is usually still billed. Oxylabs bills 2xx and 4xx responses, including 403 block pages, and does not bill 5xx errors.

E-commerce scraping benchmark

We benchmarked web scrapers on the top 100 e-commerce domains to measure their performance. For a more detailed analysis, see our e-commerce scraping benchmark.

IA web scraping benchmark

We benchmarked two ways to extract web data with LLMs: build-once platforms, where IA builds a scraper that you then call with a URL, and one-shot extraction APIs, where each request sends a URL with a prompt or schema. See our IA web scraping benchmark for the results across 25.000 requests on 10 popular domains.

Top Apify alternatives

Bright Data runs a web data platform built around the Web Scraper API, which lists 1.400+ pre-built scrapers for sites such as Amazon, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. Bright Data writes and maintains these scrapers itself, while most site-specific scrapers on the Apify Store come from third-party developers. Web Unlocker, Browser API, SERP API, Datasets, Web Archive and the proxy networks are sold as separate products.

  • Scraper Studio’s IA agent builds a scraper for a site outside the catalogue from a plain-English description, and the scraper can then run on a schedule from the control panel. When a scraper breaks, a self-healing step prepares a fix that runs after the user approves it.
  • Browser API gives Playwright and Puppeteer a hosted browser over a wss:// endpoint and gives Selenium a WebDriver endpoint, with CAPTCHA solving handled automatically. Apify’s browser Actors run code inside Apify’s containers and expose no endpoint to connect to.
  • The Datasets marketplace provides pre-collected records such as LinkedIn profiles, Amazon products, Crunchbase companies and Zillow listings, with a $250 minimum order.
  • Web Archive API returns stored page snapshots filtered by domain, date, category, language and country. It costs $0,20 per 1.000 pages from the last 24 hours and $1 per 1.000 for older pages.
  • Residential proxy targeting reaches US ZIP codes and ASNs. Apify Proxy stops at US state level.

Oxylabs moved its scraping products to a single credit-based Web API, and kept the older Web Scraper API as “Classic”. Dedicated scrapers under /v1/scrape/{target} return parsed fields for Google, Amazon, YouTube, Walmart, eBay, Etsy and Best Buy from parsers that Oxylabs maintains. Residential, datacenter, ISP and mobile proxies, Agent Browser and Datasets are sold alongside it.

  • IA Parsing takes a plain-English prompt or a JSON Schema and returns structured fields from any page, at $3 per 1.000 parsed pages on top of the scrape.
  • OxyCopilot writes the request and parsing instructions from a prompt in the dashboard, so a custom parser needs no hand-written code.
  • Agent Browser exposes a CDP endpoint for Playwright, Puppeteer, Stagehand and browser-use. It costs $8 per GB, with residential proxies and CAPTCHA handling included.
  • Datasets provides pre-collected company, job, review, e-commerce and real estate data from $400 per month, delivered to the customer’s cloud storage.
  • Mobile proxies run on 3G, 4G and 5G carrier networks from $7,50 per GB, and residential targeting goes down to ZIP code (US only), ASN and coordinates.

Decodo, formerly Smartproxy, sells scraping through the Web Data API. One API key covers four endpoints:

  • /scrape returns a single page as HTML, Markdown, JSON or a screenshot, or parsed data from a supported site such as Google or Amazon. It runs synchronously, asynchronously or in batches.
  • /search returns parsed Google organic results and top stories for a query.
  • /crawl starts from a submitted URL and scrapes up to 10.000 pages of the site, with Markdown or HTML for each page. It always runs asynchronously.
  • /map lists the URLs on a submitted page and in the site’s top-level sitemap, up to 147.000, without scraping page content.
  • /map and /crawl work as a pair: the select_paths parameter limits a crawl to the sections picked from the map.
  • Its templates return structured output for Google, Amazon, Walmart, TikTok and other supported sites when parse: true is set. Site Unblocker and the residential, datacenter, ISP and mobile proxy networks are sold separately in the same account.
  • IA Parser turns a page into JSON from a short prompt in the dashboard and saves the parsing instructions for reuse in API jobs.
  • Mobile proxies come from 3G, 4G and 5G carrier networks from $2,25 per GB, and residential targeting reaches US ZIP codes, ASNs and geohash cells.

Nimble splits its product into three parts: Web Tools for developers (Extract, Search, Crawl and Map), Web Search Agents that research a task and answer in a JSON schema, and Extract Template API for named sites such as Amazon, Google Maps, TikTok and Walmart. Requests run on drivers that range from plain HTTP to stealth browsers, and the auto setting moves to a more expensive driver only when a cheaper one fails.

  • The stealth drivers, vx10 and vx10-pro, bypass CAPTCHAs and challenge pages automatically and cost more than the lower drivers.
  • Ask Nimble creates an Extract Template for any site without CSS selectors, and the Jobs page runs templates on a schedule without code.
  • Web Search Agents take a plain-language task and an output_schema.
  • Geotargeting reaches city level. The standalone residential proxy needs KYC and is not available to self-service accounts, and Nimble exposes no browser endpoint for Playwright, Puppeteer or Selenium.

Zyte API handles proxies, browser rendering and bans behind one endpoint, and the scrapy-zyte-api plugin routes an existing spider through it.

  • Zyte API returns a raw HTTP body or a browser-rendered page from the same endpoint. Browser-rendered requests cost $1,01 to $16,08 per 1.000, depending on how hard the target site is.
  • Zyte sets the price tier for a new target only after a test run, so the cost of a site is not known in advance.
  • IA extraction returns fields by page type, such as product, article or job posting, so one call covers product pages on any store without a per-site parser.

Firecrawl turns web pages into Markdown or structured JSON for LLM pipelines through five endpoints: /scrape, /crawl, /map, /search and /agent. It bills credits per page instead of compute time, and failed requests are gratuito.

  • The JSON format on /scrape accepts a schema, a prompt or both, and adds 4 credits per page.
  • The Agent playground takes a plain-English request, with an optional CSV of URLs, and returns structured data without code.
  • Browser Sandbox returns a CDP WebSocket URL for each session. It costs 2 credits per browser minute with code and 7 with a prompt.

ScrapingBee prices every request in credits, and the credit cost depends on the options set. A premium residential proxy costs 10 credits without JavaScript rendering and 25 with it, and a stealth proxy costs 75. Eight dedicated APIs return parsed data for Google, Amazon, Walmart, YouTube, ChatGPT and Gemini, plus Fast Search and Employee Search.

  • The generic HTML API accepts ai_query or ai_extract_rules for LLM extraction on any page, at 5 extra credits per request.
  • The dashboard builds a request visually and returns a code snippet, but it does not save or schedule scrapers. Scheduled runs go through Make, n8n or Zapier, while Apify schedules Actors natively.
  • Proxy Mode lets a local Puppeteer or Selenium script send its traffic through ScrapingBee, and each browser request is billed as an API call.
  • The Amazon and Walmart APIs accept a ZIP code to localize prices and delivery options.

Exa starts from a query instead of a URL. Search runs against Exa’s own index, which its FAQ says tracks over 2 trillion URLs and serves 100 billion pages. The Contents endpoint returns text, highlights or summaries for the pages it finds.

  • Passing a JSON schema in summary.schema returns structured fields instead of prose for any URL Exa can fetch.
  • Exa Snapshot returns a page as it was stored on a chosen date, within a rolling five-month window, through snapshotAsOf on search and contents. The gratuito plan does not include it.
  • Library collections hold 300M+ people, 30M+ companies and 1.2B+ products, and the standard search call queries them.
  • Websets builds a list of entities from a plain-English description in a no-code dashboard, and enrichment columns are added the same way.
  • Exa’s crawler signs its requests with Web Bot Auth and does not try to bypass logins, paywalls or CAPTCHAs.

Tavily builds its API for IA agents. Search, Extract, Crawl, Map and Research each return content that an LLM can use directly, and Tavily has no parsers for named sites. Extract returns a page’s main content in basic or advanced mode, and advanced handles JavaScript-rendered pages.

  • Research runs a multi-step search task and returns the answer in a JSON Schema that the caller defines.
  • Crawl combines Map and Extract in one call, and both parts bill only for pages processed successfully.
  • Results pass through filters for PII, prompt injection and malicious sources before they reach the model.
