NinjaOne
NinjaOne brings RMM, MDM, backup, documentation, IT asset management, ticketing, and PSA into one cloud-based platform.
Standard endpoint agents support Windows, macOS, and Linux, while NinjaOne Relay extends management to systems such as Solaris and RHEL 6 with modified support. Device Backup is managed from the same console and supports cloud, on-premises, and hybrid storage. Backup uses pay-per-device pricing; however, exact costs require a custom quote.
Atera
Atera combines RMM and PSA under per-technician pricing, with unlimited endpoints per technician. It also includes ticketing, a service portal, and IA agent. Official Linux support covers Debian 11+, Ubuntu 18+, CentOS Stream, and Red Hat 8+.
Linux remote access through Splashtop is more restrictive because it requires an X11 desktop environment and does not support Wayland, which can complicate remote access to systems without a compatible graphical session.

ConnectWise RMM
ConnectWise RMM integrates with the broader ConnectWise ecosystem, including ConnectWise PSA and its managed service offerings. The starter package includes ScreenConnect Remote Access, Windows, macOS, and Linux monitoring, IA-assisted script and monitor generation, third-party patching, and the RPA Starter workflow engine.
ConnectWise also offers NOC, Help Desk, and dedicated technician services for organizations that want to extend their internal support capacity.
Network monitoring is not part of the starter plan and starts with Pro, while Premium is required for unlimited ScreenConnect Remote Access agents, ScreenConnect Remote Support, and Microsoft 365 SaaS backup.

Datto RMM
Datto RMM integrates with Datto’s backup and business-continuity products. The service operates on six cloud platforms across four regions, and its Microsoft 365 integration brings Microsoft 365 and Intune management into Datto RMM. It can also automatically deploy the RMM agent to eligible Intune-enrolled Windows devices when configured for auto-deployment.
Linux support includes Fedora, Debian, CentOS Stream, Ubuntu LTS, and RHEL, including ARM64 systems. Endpoint restrictions include Windows Home editions and Windows 10/11 IoT Embedded editions, and the Datto RMM agent cannot be used in non-persistent VDI environments.
HaloPSA
HaloPSA is a PSA and service-management platform built around ticketing, CRM, billing, asset management, project management, reporting, and workflow automation rather than native RMM. Endpoint monitoring and management therefore depend on integration with an RMM product; Halo supports more than 250 native integrations, including several major RMM platforms.
HaloPSA can be self-hosted or hosted. Current on-premises requirements support Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025, with a minimum 2 GHz dual- or quad-core processor and 8 GB of RAM.
Halo includes its features, modules, and integrations under one licensing model, but an onboarding package is required separately and priced according to implementation scope.

Kaseya VSA
Kaseya VSA 10 fits closely into the wider Kaseya IT Complete ecosystem and is available as either a SaaS deployment or an on-premises installation.
Version 10.25 expanded Remote Control on Demand to macOS, allowing technicians using Macs to initiate temporary remote sessions with Windows or macOS users, including unmanaged devices.
VSA 10 also supports Linux endpoints with functions such as terminal access, scripts, and OS updates, although its standard graphical Remote Control workflow is documented for Windows and macOS, not Linux.
ManageEngine Endpoint Central
ManageEngine Endpoint Central combines centralized endpoint administration, patching, inventory, vulnerability management, software deployment, and device management. The standard Endpoint Central product is intended for managing endpoints within a single organization; MSPs managing multiple customers can instead use the separate Endpoint Central MSP product.
Published server configurations cover deployments of up to 35.000 computers, with larger environments handled through a customized setup. Endpoint Central also supports mobile and desktop platforms including Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and ChromeOS.
Endpoint Detection and Response, malware protection, ransomware protection, and Private Access are offered as add-ons. Linux management is also more limited than Windows management in some areas, with patching and software deployment depending on the supported Linux distribution.
N-able N-central
N-able N-central is available as both a hosted service and an on-premises deployment. Its macOS agent currently supports five major releases, from Monterey 12.x through Tahoe 26.x, while 64-bit Linux installations use N-central’s separate Independent Agent.
N-central also includes N-zo, its IA assistant, and an open MCP Server that connects MCP-compatible IA tools to live N-central data and supported actions. N-able offers Cove Data Protection, EDR, Take Control, Mail Assure, DNS Filtering, and Passportal as separate products alongside N-central.
Pulseway
Pulseway has a mobile-first approach to RMM. Its iOS and Android apps allow administrators to monitor endpoints, respond to alerts, remotely control devices, deploy patches, execute scripts, run automation workflows, and manage tickets without returning to a desktop console. The core platform monitors Windows, macOS, Linux, network devices, and IoT systems.
Pulseway lists antivirus, ransomware detection, and phishing defense as security add-ons, while also offering ticketing, NOC/help desk services, endpoint backup, BCDR, and SaaS backup as additional products or services.

Syncro
Syncro includes both RMM and PSA in every plan and uses a per-technician model with unlimited managed endpoints. The Core plan includes 24/5 live support, and the platform is SOC 2 Type II certified.
Organizations that need Microsoft 365 security and identity-management capabilities must move to the Team plan, which adds the full Microsoft 365 security and identity suite alongside more advanced automation and reporting features.
Syncro also has a native Linux agent for x64 and ARM64 systems. Official support is limited to RHEL and Ubuntu LTS; users can install it on some other RHEL- and Debian-based distributions by bypassing the OS check, but Syncro does not officially support them.
All-in-one IT management use cases with case studies
Small and midsize business IT teams
NinjaOne with DECKED
DECKED, a truck bed storage systems manufacturer in Ketchum, Idaho, used NinjaOne to manage a hybrid workforce across headquarters and two manufacturing facilities during rapid growth.
The IT administrator consolidated endpoint management, patch management, backup, and antivirus into one platform. The automation reduced manual workload by an estimated 20 to 40 hours per week.5
NinjaOne with Beekmantown Central Schools
Beekmantown Central Schools, a public pre-K through 12 district in upstate New York, used NinjaOne’s endpoint management and autonomous patch management to remove manual patch scheduling that had previously required weeks of teacher coordination. The district reported a 98% reduction in ticket resolution time, elimination of all patch-related helpdesk tickets, 20 hours saved per month, and 40% cost savings compared to replaced tools.6
Atera with ITernative
ITernative, an IT service organization supporting approximately 550 endpoints, adopted Atera’s combined PSA and RMM platform to run a shared IT department model from one console.
Atera reports that new operators reached proficiency in under 10 days and completed deployment in under 30 days.7
Managed service providers
Kaseya VSA with CST Group Inc.
CST Group Inc., an MSP headquartered in New York, manages more than 730 endpoints across municipalities, local governments, and businesses using Kaseya VSA 10.
The MSP uses RMM, automation, and patch management to maintain compliance monitoring for PCI DSS, FTC regulations, and CMMC 2.0, and integrates PowerShell scripting for ticket handling.
Kaseya reports a projected efficiency increase of at least 75% from expanded automation and 35% company growth over two years attributed to scaling without proportional headcount growth.8
ConnectWise with Mangano
ConnectWise documents its Asio platform as integrating RMM, PSA, quoting, and automation into one system. For example, Mangano adapted ConnectWise, saved more than 165 technician hours monthly, and reduced ticket backlog by 50%. 9
NinjaOne with Halcyon Support
Halcyon Support, an MSP based in Charlotte, North Carolina, switched to NinjaOne after its prior RMM exhibited unresponsive support, undisclosed pricing add-ons, unreliable alerting, and an approximately 500MB agent package.
The benefits included month-to-month billing without long-term contracts and AWS-hosted cloud infrastructure that supports HIPAA-compliant device management for medical, legal, and distribution clients.10
Enterprise and multi-site organizations
Microsoft Intune with Lindex
Lindex, a European fashion retailer operating roughly 400 stores across Northern and Central Europe, deployed Microsoft Intune to manage more than 3.200 shared store-based devices under Android Enterprise Dedicated device enrollment.
The rollout used Intune’s Managed Home Screen app, Shared Device Mode for multi-user log-in, Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on, and centralized app preconfiguration, integrated with Microsoft Teams and RFID inventory tools. Reported outcomes include faster inventory routines and reduced time on manual tasks across hundreds of stores.11
What are the challenges of adapting all-in-one IT management software?
Consolidation onto a single platform creates concentration risk.
- In 2021, attackers exploited a vulnerability in Kaseya VSA in a supply-chain ransomware attack affecting multiple MSPs and their customers.
- CISA and the FBI issued joint guidance recommending multi-factor authentication enforcement, RMM traffic allowlisting, and supply-chain risk assessment of MSP tooling as mitigations.12
- In 2024, CVE-2024-1709, an authentication bypass in ConnectWise ScreenConnect, was added to CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on February 22, 2024, as an actively exploited flaw.13
- ConnectWise also disclosed in 2025 that a sophisticated nation-state actor breached its environment, affecting a subset of ScreenConnect customers.14
Because RMM platforms can have privileged access to many endpoints, a compromise can have a larger impact than a vulnerability in an isolated application.
